Collections Overview

Our collections – archival and manuscript, rare and special books and publications, the University Archives, and other materials – focus on topics in the Humanities, Social and Political Sciences, Arts and Government, illuminating the human experience from those at the university and the state of Connecticut to peoples around the world.

The collections provide researchers a wide array of primary sources in many and varied formats, including photographs, correspondence, journals, scrapbooks, maps, administrative and financial records, oral history recordings and transcripts, films, electronic and digital files. Time periods of the collections mostly focus on the 19th and 20th centuries.
