Gifts of Materials to Archives & Special Collections
Gifts of collections help us further our mission of preserving the past for the future, and we are grateful to all of our donors for their generosity. If you have a collection you wish to bring to our attention please refer to our Acquisition Policy and our current holdings to get an idea of how it may supplement our research materials.
We ask all donors to sign a Deed of Gift to transfer ownership of their collections to the University of Connecticut.
Our staff are prohibited by federal law from affixing a value to your donation. If you would like an appraisal of your collection for tax purposes, please contact a qualified appraiser.
If you have material you’d like to donate to Archives & Special Collections, please send an email to archives@uconn.edu or call us at (860) 486-2524. Our staff will follow up shortly with additional guidance.
We not accept donations made without prior arrangement or notification. Unsolicited donations that are abandoned on or outside of our premises will be disposed of according to Library policy.
