The current power outage in Babbidge is due to a blown transformer that powers the North side of the building. Facilities will be working overnight to re-route power and expect to have it up and running by tomorrow morning. Here is what is happening in the interim:
- Public access to the north side of the building will be closed off immediately. This includes EC1, URC, Groups Studies, and Research Carrels.
- The power outage has taken down the HVAC system to the following areas: North Side of Levels 4, 3, 2, 1, and P and both sides of Level B. This means there is no air movement in those areas.
- Public ladies rooms will be available only on P, B and 1.
- Interlibrary Loan services are unavailable until Tuesday, September 19th.
