Archivist
Melissa is an archivist in UConn’s Archives & Special Collections, building and introducing students to a variety of materials in the literary collections, rare books collections, and related special collections. Manuscripts, little magazines, audio recordings, broadsides, artists books, science fiction, graphic novels, and zines are among the recent additions to the literary collections holdings. Melissa holds an M.A. in History and an M.S.L.S. from Simmons College. Her work focuses on documenting the creative processes, origins, and networks of contemporary poets, playwrights, artists, anthologists, activists, printers, and small presses. Melissa serves as an internship and engagement supervisor for the Department of English’s Undergraduate Writing Program.
