Dean of UConn Library
Anne Langley became Dean of the UConn Library in February, 2018. Prior to UConn she held academic library positions at Penn State, Princeton, Duke, North Carolina State University, and University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She holds a master’s degree in library science from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Georgia State University. She is the lead author of three books in the field of academic librarianship and co-edited a book on open education resources and academic libraries. She has authored numerous articles, book chapters, and was a co-author of the first data paper published in the field (in portal). The values that guide UConn library are near and dear to her and guide how she operates as a leader every day. They are: Curiosity and Inquiry, Equity and Inclusion, Kindness and Trust, and Having Fun!
