Lending to Non-UConn Libraries

The UConn Library lends materials and provides scans to institutions worldwide.

Requests should be sent via OCLC; libraries not using OCLC ILL, please contact Stan Huzarewicz.

If you already have a UConn ILLiad account, you can place your request in ILLiad.

Fees

  • U.S. Non-Profit Libraries: we charge $15 IFM for photocopies and loans (returnables) to libraries with whom we have no reciprocal agreement.
  • Canadian Libraries: we charge $15 IFM for photocopies and $25 IFM for loans (returnables) to libraries with whom we have no reciprocal agreement.
  • International Libraries: we charge $15 IFM for photocopies and $30 IFM for loans (returnables) to overseas libraries with whom we have no reciprocal agreement. For overseas libraries that do not use IFM, we charge 1.5 IFLA vouchers for photocopies, and 3 IFLA vouchers for loans.
  • Corporate and Legal Libraries: we charge $25 per request.

Loan Periods
The loan period for books is 16 weeks; for A/V 4 weeks. We do not permit renewals.

Non-Circulating
We do not lend serials/periodicals; additionally, items held at Archives and Special Collections do not circulate. Information on how to order copies and images from Archives and Special Collections, as well as directions and reading room hours, can be found on their website.

Non-Institutional requests
We do not lend or provide reproduction services to individuals or organizations outside of Interlibrary Loan; please place your request through your local academic or public library.
