Homer Babbidge Library

COVID-19 Service Changes

There is no public access to the Homer Babbidge Library after April 9 other than for the pick up of requested materials and book returns through August. Pickups are Monday through Thursday noon to 4pm, no appointment needed. The book drops are located at

  • North Entrance (across from the seal on Fairfield Way-24 hours)
  • South Entrance (just inside the doorway next to Bookworms)
  • Loading Dock.jpg (access from the street between Schenker Hall and Budds Building. No parking, just a drop off – 24 hours)
  • iDesk on Plaza

Visitor parking is available in the North and South Parking Garages (the South Parking Garage is closer to the Babbidge Library). Further information, including hourly rates, is available from UConn Parking Services. Detailed parking maps are also available.

Handicapped parking is available throughout the campus and near the Babbidge Library in the Dodd Center parking lot, as well as on the east side of Babbidge Library building.


Walking Directions from the South Parking Garage (view interactive campus map)

Exit the South Parking Garage onto Jim Calhoun Way. Turn right and proceed to the intersection of Jim Calhoun Way and Hillside Road. The UConn Bookstore will be on your right.

Cross Hillside Road and continue straight toward the Nathan L. Whetten Graduate Center. The School of Business will be on your left.

Continue straight past the Graduate Center. The Babbidge Library is straight ahead.
