Research Carrels at the Homer Babbidge Library
The application period for research carrels at the Homer Babbidge Library is now OPEN. Please reference the Research Carrels Policy below to review eligibility requirements. Please note that at this time we only have openings for Graduate Students, Faculty and Visiting Scholars. We have reached our application allotment for Honors Students, University Scholars and Emeritus.
All carrels are assigned on a first come, first served basis. The application period will remain open until we have filled all available carrels.

Per Diem Research Carrels
Please note that the iDesk, located on the Library’s Plaza Level, offers daily research carrels. These carrels are available for six hour increments on a first come, first served basis.
Research Carrels Policy and Guidelines
Research carrels are assigned to eligible applicants who are working on research projects requiring extensive use of library materials. Research carrels are not intended for use by occupants as study, storage or office space. Only individuals actively affiliated with the University of Connecticut are considered to be eligible.
