Reservation Policies 

Who can use the cubicles? UConn Health students, residents, and fellows who make a reservation. Please note: We will need to cancel reservations that do not fit this eligibility criteria. 

When can I reserve the cubicles? You can reserve the cubicles for use during regular library hours. 

How long can I reserve the cubicles? Reservations are for 2 hours. You have 15 minutes after your reservation starts to arrive before it’s cancelled. Please leave the cubicle by the end of your reservation. 

Can I book multiple sessions? You can’t reserve the room consecutive times, for overlapping meetings, or recurring sessions. 

How can I cancel a reservation? You can cancel your appointment with the link at the bottom of your Booking Confirmation email. In rare cases, we may need to cancel your booking if the cubicle is needed. 

Cancelation policy: You have 15 minutes after your reservation starts to arrive before it’s canceled. 

 

Usage Policies 

The Study Cubicles is available for activities such as: 

  • Research 
  • Quiet study 

If you wish to use the Study Cubicles for a purpose not listed above, please contact the library Director: Susan Fowler (sfowler@uchc.edu). 

You may not use the Study Cubicles for: 

  • Meetings 
  • Conferences 

The person who reserves a cubicle is responsible for ensuring: 

  • The room is left clean and free of personal belongings. 
  • You comply with the library’s disruptive behavior policy. 
  • Any costs associated with lost or damaged equipment, furniture, etc. are covered. 

Food and Beverages: 

Food and beverages are allowed.

Can I use the Study Cubicles if it’s unoccupied?

    The Study Cubicles cannot be used without a reservation, even if it appears unoccupied. Please check the cubicles’ reservation system for its availability and to make a reservation before utilizing the room.

    How do I make a cubicle reservation?

      To reserve the Multipurpose Room, visit our reservation website or contact the UConn Health Sciences Library’s Information Desk at 860-679-3808. Reservations are limited to one 2-hour block per individual per day. Consecutive, overlapping, or recurring reservations are not permitted.

      How do I know if my reservation request was received?

        Upon submitting a reservation using the cubicles’ reservation system, you will receive an email confirmation. If you’ve made a reservation through the Information Desk, you will still receive an email confirming your reservation.

          What if I make a reservation and then decide I don’t want the cubicle?

          You can cancel your reservation through a link in your confirmation email or by calling the Information Desk at 860-679-3808.

          What if I booked cubicle, but arrive to find that someone is in it?

          Please explain to them that you have a reservation for the cubicle and show them your confirmation email. If you have any issues, please contact the Information Desk for assistance.

          Who should I contact if I am running late to claim my reservation?

          You have 15 minutes after your reservation starts to arrive before it’s cancelled. If you are running late, please contact the Information Desk at 860-679-3808 so your reservation is not voided.
