Reservation Policies
Who can use the room? UConn Health students, residents, and fellows who make a reservation. Please note: We will need to cancel reservations that do not fit this eligibility criteria.
When can I reserve the room? You can reserve the room for use during regular library hours.
How long can I reserve the room? Reservations are for 2 hours. You have 15 minutes after your reservation starts to arrive before it’s cancelled. Please leave the room by the end of your reservation.
Can I book multiple sessions? You can’t reserve the room consecutive times, for overlapping meetings, or recurring sessions.
How can I cancel a reservation? You can cancel your appointment with the link at the bottom of your Booking Confirmation email. In rare cases, we may need to cancel your booking if the space is needed.
Cancelation policy: You have 15 minutes after your reservation starts to arrive before it’s canceled.
Usage Policies
The Multipurpose Room is available for activities such as:
- Research
- Studying
- Group projects
- Interview preparation
If you wish to use the Multipurpose Room for a purpose not listed above, please contact the library Director: Susan Fowler (sfowler@uchc.edu).
You may not use the Multipurpose Room for:
- Class instruction
- Office hours
- Association or club meetings
- Social gatherings
- Faculty meetings
- Conferences
The person who reserves the Multipurpose Room is responsible for ensuring:
- The room is left clean and free of personal belongings.
- Everyone in the room complies with the library’s disruptive behavior policy.
- Any costs associated with lost or damaged equipment (ex: TV remote, HDMI cable), furniture, etc. are covered.
Food and Beverages:
Food and beverages are allowed in the central area of the room, but not the alcove.

Can I use the Multipurpose Room if it’s unoccupied?
The Multipurpose Room cannot be used without a reservation, even if it appears unoccupied. Please check the room’s reservation system for its availability and to make a reservation before utilizing the room.
How do I make a room reservation?
To reserve the Multipurpose Room, visit our reservation website or contact the UConn Health Sciences Library’s Information Desk at 860-679-3808. Reservations are limited to one 2-hour block per individual per day. Consecutive, overlapping, or recurring reservations are not permitted.
How do I know if my reservation request was received?
Upon submitting a reservation using the room’s reservation system, you will receive an email confirmation. If you’ve made a reservation through the Information Desk, you will still receive an email confirming your reservation.
What if I make a reservation and then decide I don’t want the room?
You can cancel your reservation through a link in your confirmation email or by calling the Information Desk at 860-679-3808.
What if I booked the room, but arrive to find that someone is in it?
Please explain to them that you have a reservation for the room and show them your confirmation email. If you have any issues, please contact the Information Desk for assistance.
Can I reserve the room to use by myself?
Yes, the room does not have a minimum occupancy requirement.
Who should I contact if I am running late to claim my reservation?
You have 15 minutes after your reservation starts to arrive before it’s cancelled. If you are running late, please contact the Information Desk at 860-679-3808 so your reservation is not voided.

- Display and connectivity
- Large TV with remote
- HDMI cable
- Wireless screen sharing with Extron ShareLink
- Video conferencing
- Logitech Meetup Camera
- Collaboration tools
- White board with markers and eraser
- Seating and furniture
- Conference table with six (6) chairs
- Two couches
- Additional seating for nine (9) people (total of 15)
What if I left something behind in the room?
Let the Information Desk know as soon as you can. They will send someone up to unlock the door so you can retrieve the item(s). The UConn Health Sciences Library is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
