Located on the Plaza Level [map] with a maximum capacity of 55, the Class of 1947 Conference Room has flexible seating that can be arranged in a traditional classroom or seminar/conference style setup.  Reservations open to UConn faculty, staff, and approved student organizations.  Room features include:

Located on Level 1 [map] with a maximum capacity of 49, Instruction 1102 offers flexible seating.  Reservations open to UConn faculty and staff.  Room features include:

  • Front and Back Displays –  85″ LED Screens
  • Speakers and Microphone
  • Blu-Ray Player
  • WePresent wireless presentation and screen sharing system

Located on Level 1 [map] with a maximum capacity of 19, Instruction 1136 has 18 individual computer stations in a standard classroom setup.  Reservations open to UConn faculty and staff.  Room features include:

  • 1 Instructor Station with HDMI and VGA Connections
  • Front Display – 70″ LED Screen
  • 18 Computer Stations
  • Speakers and Microphone
  • Blu-Ray Player
  • WePresent Wireless Presentation and Screen-sharing System
  • LockDown Browser  (Library Technology recommends that students complete a practice test that uses LockDown Browser to ensure they are familiar with how it functions. Located on Level 2 [map], Video Theater 1 has classroom style seating for 30.  Reservations open to UConn faculty, staff, and approved student organizations.  Room features include:

Located on Level 2 [map], Video Theater 2 has classroom style seating for 90.  Reservations open to UConn faculty, staff, and approved student organizations.  Room features include:

  • VHS player
  • ELMO Document Camera
  • If your Video Theater booking includes Library-owned media you must also submit a separate Reserve request.

    Maker Studio

    Located on Level 1 [map]. Turn your idea into a tangible object! Our Maker Studio (room 1131) is located on Level 1 and houses multiple 3-D printers, a laser engraver, vinyl cutter, and more to support research and creativity! Open to all, users must first complete an equipment and safety orientation. Click here for more information.


    One Button Studio (HBL 3110 Recording Room)
    Located on Level 3 [map] the new One Button Studio makes recording audio and video for lesson plans and student presentations a snap! One button to start and stop your audio and video recording, and save it to your flash drive or Kaltura – it’s that easy! Available to UConn students, faculty, and staff. Room features include: 

    • Desktop computer
    • One Button software
    • Microphone
    • Camera
    • Document camera
    • Black backdrop
    • Save to flash drive or Kaltura

    Reserve this room for 2 hour time slots using our room scheduling website.  


    Visualization Studio

    Located on Level 1 [map] with flexible seating for up to 49, the Visualization Studio (Room 1101) features an immersive 24 by 41/2 foot screen to provide users with a unique visual experience.  Available to UConn faculty and staff for reservations.  Room features include:

    • 1 Instructor Station with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Controls
    • 24X4.5 Foot Screen with Configurable 4K High-definition Display
    • HDMI Connections for 1 to 3 Simultaneous Laptop Use
    • 24 Rolling Seats with Attached Side Tables
