The online application period for research carrels at the Homer Babbidge Library is now closed.
We expect to re-open the online application for Graduate Student, Honors Student, University Scholar, and Faculty research carrels for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Please note that assignments are approved on a first come, first served basis. To ensure consideration, all applications must be complete, including department approvals.

Research Carrels Policy and Guidelines
Research carrels are assigned to eligible applicants who are working on research projects requiring extensive use of library materials. Research carrels are not intended for use by occupants as study, storage or office space. Only individuals actively affiliated with the University of Connecticut are considered to be eligible. Per Diem Research Carrels
Daily research carrels can be checked in four hour increments out by any member of the UConn community at the Homer Babbidge Library’s main iDesk.
