McNeil, Erika Hanson
Erika McNeil has worked in a variety of academic libraries, including the University of Connecticut, the Ohio State University, MIT, Boston College, and the Ohio State University’s Health Sciences Library. In her career she has also gained a wide variety of experience in resource sharing, access services, technical services, and personnel management. She currently serves on the EAST Resource Sharing and Special Collections Working Group and the Boston Library Consortium Heads of Resource Sharing Committee. She has held positions in library organizations, including Chair of the Boston Library Consortium’s Resource Sharing Community of Interest Group, in which she continues as an active member and collaborator, and as Co-Chair of the Association of College and Research Libraries New England Chapter’s Leadership Development Committee. She received her B.A. from Wheaton College in Massachusetts, her M.A. in English Literature from Boston College, and her M.L.I.S. from Southern Connecticut University.

Cardinale, Jean
Jean Cardinale heads up the Communication & Marketing Unit, responsible for managing the public perception, engagement activities, and overall communication strategies for the UConn Library to enable strategic, efficient, and effective messaging. Previously, Jean worked in several positions that focused on event planning, marketing, and communications for non-profits including the Farmington River Watershed Association and Litchfield Performing Arts. She received her B.S. in Public Administration from Nichols College in Dudley, MA and her M.S. in Public Administration from UConn. She is currently working towards a MA in Communication from UConn.
Palacios-Baughman, Theresa
Terry Palacios is the Interlibrary Services Associate, liaison to Digital Media and Design, and a UNIV 1800 Instructor. She has a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Educational Technology, and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Media & Design.
Pittman, Betsy
Betsy Pittman is the University Archivist and Records Management Liaison Officer at the University of Connecticut. In addition to documenting the University’ history, Betsy is also responsible for the political and public affairs, survey research, nursing history and Connecticut history and culture collections in Archives & Special Collections. Prior to her employment at UConn, Betsy was the archivist and Head of Special Collections & Archives on the academic campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. She has also been an instructor of archival management in both institutions. Betsy holds an M.S. (Medieval History) and M.L.S. (specialization in Archives & Manuscripts) from the University of Maryland and a B.A. (European History) from William Smith College.

Sikes, Sara
Smith, Laura
Laura Smith has served as an archivist in the UConn Archives since March 1999, overseeing the Business History, Railroad, Labor and Professional Organization collections as well as the Connecticut Historic Preservation Collection. She worked as a Manuscripts Curator at Virginia Tech from 1987 to 1999. She received her M.A. in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her A.B. in History from Kenyon College.
