The Harleigh B. Trecker (HBT) Library serves the programs of the University of Connecticut's Greater Hartford Campus including over 1,200 graduate students working towards degrees in education, public policy, and social work and more than 1,000 undergraduates. The Library is also open to the public.

We have 100,000 volumes covering a variety of academic topics, mostly relating to the social sciences, and over 2,000 journals in both paper and micro text formats. HBT has 7 SuperHOMER terminals with access to the Internet and hundreds of databases and electronic journals subscribed to by the University. HBT has 2 public service desks. Reserves, circulation, and document delivery/interlibrary loan (DD/ILL) activities are centered at the access services desk, which is staffed all open hours. The reference desk, which is open most library hours, is staffed by librarians who will happily assist users with all varieties of information needs. UConn students, faculty, and staff have full access to all of HBT's resources. The general public may use materials in-house and, for a fee, borrow books. DD/ILL services are not available to the general public.
