Welcome to the UConn Library at Hartford Public Library!

UConn Library at Hartford Public Library serves the programs of the University of Connecticut’s Hartford Campus including over 1,200 graduate students working towards degrees in education, public policy, and social work and more than 1,000 undergraduates. Our collections include materials focused on Social Work, Public Policy, Education, and select areas within the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. In addition to our physical collections, users have access to electronic resources for a broader range of general and subject specific databases, journals, eBooks, and streaming media.

Research Help

The UConn Library at Hartford Public Library is here to help you with your academic research needs and services available include:

  • In-person research assistance for your academic research needs for your assignments, research, and class projects from 9:30am-4pm Monday – Friday and more detailed assistance available by appointment.
  • Connecticut State Data Center (CTSDC) staff available by appointment to provide assistance with discovering, utilizing, and visualizing federal and state datasets.
  • Map and Geographic Information Center (MAGIC) staff available by appointment to provide assistance with aerial imagery, maps, map creation, and geospatial dataset related research needs.

Public Programs and Workshops

The UConn Library at Hartford Public Library offers a number of public programs and workshops in collaboration with the Hartford Public Library, the UConn Hartford Campus, the UConn Library and other groups/organizations. Programs offered are included on the Hartford Public Library and the UConn Hartford events calendars.
