The Pennyroyal Caxton Bible, designed and illustrated by Barry Moser, noted contemporary book designer and illustrator, is the only fully illustrated twentieth century edition of the Bible. Both volumes of one of the 400 copies in the primary edition will be on display. [For more detailed information, please see the statement about the primary edition on the publisher's illustrated website at http://www.pennyroyal-caxton.com].

To give visitors an opportunity to appreciate the scope of the 233 relief engravings in this edition, the images displayed at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center will change periodically. From April 16 through April 24, dates which encompass Palm Sunday, Passover, Good Friday, and Easter, Mr. Moser's striking images from appropriate passages of the Bible will be shown.

Additional material relating to the Pennyroyal Caxton Bible will also be on display, along with a small selection of original works by Mr. Moser from the Northeast Children's Literature Collection in the Dodd Center.
